The
iris collection is mostly a result of gifts
from Larry Doucette, former President of
the Historical Iris Preservation Society
(HIPS). We have been collecting irises for
about 22 years now. There is one main
iris border, and rest are tucked into
other perennial borders. Some
Siberian and Louisiana species are scattered
around the other perennial beds. In 2006
I donated over a thousand rhizomes to the
Madison Iris Society for their annual fund-raising
sale.
Each entry includes hybridizer, year introduced and
categorization.
